How did we become addicted to hounds

Long time ago we decided to brighten up our household with a pet - preferably a dog. Thanks to the past experience with breeding animals in a flat (my boyfriend had two turtles and one guinea-pig, I had a dog), we didn´t hesitate even a minute because we already knew what it takes to have an animal. Anyway, there was a whole room reserved only for an incoming dog in our apartment (we call it " living room"). In addition we have a nice, big garden. The only thing left to do was to choose a breed that would best meet our expectations. We have set the serious criteria to choose the best dog breed to be our pet. Although the final was really tight, thanks to its long ears the Berner Laufhund beat the others. The ears length was the 80% weight in the evaluation and remaining 20% was the measure of spottiness. After recent experience we would add the following criteria - the ability to chase wildlife (good running speed), loudness in tracks announcement and the ability to beg 5 crowns from the strangers passing in the shortest time.

One day in June 2007 we chose a symptomatic name "Cookie" and started to seek for a spotty little dog. Finally, we found it in a small village in the Giant mountains‘ foothills. She expressed her affectionate and loyal nature right from the start. After the holidays Cookie moved to the south of Prague where she lives happily ever after. In spring 2009 we found out that Cookie had a lot of empty space left in her room and that we could be more modest. According to the same strict criteria as with Cookie we chose the hound again but this time it was the French one. For our second dog we picked up another fitting name: Muffin. And finally sweet porcelaine puppy Muffin moved to our home. Since that time our home has been very cheerful. As the time passed our lady dogs became indissoluble mates and a lot of great ideas come from the two bright minds now.
